You can report the unauthorized damage, destruction or removal of street trees or trees in parks, including:
- Graffiti carved in trees
- Tree branches or limbs removed without a permit
- Trees removed without a permit
- Vehicles hitting tree trunks or branches
- Tree damage or arboricide
- Tree trunks or branches damaged by lights or decorations
- Tree lights/decor are not allowed between the end of February and the end of October
Tree Decoration/Lighting Permits
Any decorations, including lighting, installed on a tree must have a permit. Lights are permitted in the winter, but must be removed before the end of February.
Any lights found on trees between the end of February and the end of October may result in a fine to the business/homeowner where the tree is located.
After Severe Weather
Routine forestry services, during and shortly after a severe weather event, may be temporarily suspended until clean-up operations have been completed.
