By order of the Mayor of the City of New York, Eric L. Adams, all flags shall be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in remembrance of the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and in mourning of the lives lost.
This includes all flags – the American flag, the New York State and City flags, and the POW-MIA flag – on all City buildings, as well as stationary flagstaffs throughout the five boroughs.
