You can get help from DEC in identifying a hogweed.
You may be asked to describe the plant's:
- Height
- Stem color
- Leaf shape
- Flower color
- Shape
You will also be asked to provide photos and site information.
You should avoid touching the plant. If you think you have been affected by a hogweed plant, it is recommended for you to see a physician.
