Alternate Side Parking (street cleaning) rules are suspended.

All other parking regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

Tuesday, November 4, is a non-attendance day for students. No in-person or remote instruction will be provided.

Family Welcome Centers, the P311 (Parent Support Hotline), and all other Department of Education administrative offices will be open.

Parking in School Zones

Parking is allowed in school zones when school is in recess. However, specific schools may be open on holidays, and parking restrictions would remain in effect. You should contact specific schools to verify that they are in recess.

There is no trash, recycling, or compost collection on Tuesday, November 4th.

If Tuesday is your regular trash, recycling, or compost collection day, place your items at the curb Tuesday evening for collection beginning Wednesday, November 5th. 

Please note that collection delays are common after holidays.

The Staten Island Ferry runs on a normal schedule.

All branches of the City's Public Library systems are open.
