Balloon Inflation

The Macy’s Balloon Inflation Celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 26, on the Upper West Side. The event will be open to public viewing from 1 PM to 6 PM.

The entrance to the event is at 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue. Following the security check, you will be able to move through the checkpoint to view the balloons between West 77th Street and West 81st Street.

Parade

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place, rain or shine, on Thursday, November 27. Formation for the parade will begin at 8 AM on West 77th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. 

The parade begins at 8:30 AM at West 77th Street and goes south down Central Park West. At Columbus Circle, the parade turns east onto Central Park South. When the parade reaches 6th Avenue, it turns south and then goes down to 34th Street. It makes its final turn there and stops in front of Macy's Herald Square. The parade usually ends around noon.
