Rainfall Ready NYC is the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Action Plan that outlines steps New Yorkers and City government can take to combat and protect the City from the damaging effects of stormwater flooding.

DEP's updated city-wide stormwater flooding maps show addresses that might be at risk of flooding during intense rain events.

To view the maps and to learn more about Rainfall Ready NYC and how we all can keep safe and minimize property damage as larger scale infrastructure is designed and built, visit rainfallready.nyc.

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) hosts Flood Preparedness Town Halls in flood-prone communities throughout the five boroughs.

These events are intended to educate New Yorkers on the different kinds of flooding they may experience, the infrastructure the City builds to manage floodwaters, and how New Yorkers can protect themselves and their property from flooding.

Registered attendees receive a free flood preparedness kit while supplies last.

You can email events@dep.nyc.gov for more information about upcoming town halls.
