New Yorker City business owners can help keep their community safe through the NYPD’s Community Camera Sharing Program. This safety initiative allows any business with a security camera to share live video feeds with the NYPD during emergencies.
This public safety program improves community safety and speeds up law enforcement response.
There's no cost to participate in the program.
The NYPD will:
- Only access your camera feed in the event of a criminal incident or emergency at your business location
- Never share your information with anyone else
- Only contact you if a crime occurs near your business
